Many people ask me if I ever act as a coauthor. Yes, I do. Writing is my ultimate passion, so I jump at the chance to do it whenever an opportunity presents itself. However, there is a difference between being a coauthor and a ghostwriter. A coauthor is someone you collaborate with to produce written work. The pay and credit is generally divided equally between each writer and they sign a contract. A ghostwriter is paid for writing all or a portion of someone else's work, usually without any credit given.

The type of writer you need will depend on what you wish to accomplish. I am capable of assisting you in either of these ways. Of course, there are no coauthor fees, so there will never be any upfront dues. However, before any work is started, a contract through WGA must be signed and submitted. Ghostwriting fees are a little more complicated to exact and complex in nature. The best way to begin is by sending me an idea of what you want written. I will review it and give you a fair price based on page count and subject.

Please be aware that I can reject an offer to write or cowrite any work at any time. Ghostwriting prices are not negotiable and will not be amended later if you decide you do not want your piece written. You must pay half of your total costs up front before I will begin work on your piece. Some work can cost as little as $100 and as much as $2000. Keep in mind that ghostwriting can include articles, introductions, essays, leads, books, poems, and much more. If you think of something to write, I can write it. Don't hesitate to send your idea to springforwardeditor@gmail.com.

If you're searching for someone to edit your work, please see the prices below. Because my services go beyond writing and editing, please feel free to reach out to me through e-mail or by using the form on the About page. If you wish to bypass paying me to edit your work, there will be many opportunities for you to take part in upcoming writing and editing sessions. They will be listed under Current Events. If you miss an event but still wish to receive any notes and/or videos accompanying it, please e-mail the address above. This is only available for free events. I will be adding an Archives page with links to videos and notes in the future.

My Commitment To Editing

Editing isn't just about catching incorrect grammar and misspelled words. It's about assessing a piece of writing line by line, word for word. When you submit your work to me, I guarantee you I will give it the royal treatment. The feedback you receive will include grammar, spelling, word use, content, plot, character, and development notes. These notes are extensive, detailed, clear, and applicable.

What I Edit

I edit books, poems, essays, research papers, short stories, scripts, speeches, newspaper articles, resumes and cover letters, letters of intent, prompts, grants and proposals, conference papers, mission statements, corporate e-mails, handbooks/guides/manuals, websites, plays, abstracts, thesis, acceptance letters, rejection letters, blogs, and much more. I can edit anything that has been written.

Turnaround Time

Time is important in the publishing industry, and for that reason, I get to work immediately upon receiving your document and first payment. I give you frequent updates on my progress with your material so you will know where I am in the process and how much longer it will take. All the guesswork on time is removed! I give you a specific amount of time that I will need up front to completely edit your work and return it to you. You will find that I mostly return the work sooner than initially assessed, but I will try to NEVER miss a deadline. Life happens. If I experience an emergency and cannot complete the editing before the time I have set, you get a HUGE discount that you can either apply to the current payment due or future payments. This includes workshops, conferences, and online events.

How Much Do I Charge

Editing can become a pricy expense for writers. However, as a writer myself, I am aware of the scams that many writers come across. I assure you that my prices are fair, accurate, and meet the industry standard. Please note that a deposit of half the total price may be required (This fee is generally reserved for larger documents or more extensive projects). This cost is not included in the prices listed below and it is nonrefundable. This fee is mandatory to block off time in my calendar for just your document. Only one document is allowed to be submitted at a time.

Standard Fee (Hourly Rate):  This fee is for documents that are large, require me to perform research, or that are ongoing. My fee for these documents is only $125 an hour. If I start editing a document and realize I won't need a full hour, I will contact you with either a prorated fee or suggesting one of the fees below be applied instead. Please note that this is rare and normally is reserved for businesses that need ongoing editing for various documents, more than one document edited, or employee manual editing.
